Atlassian CEO: AI Will Create More Software, Not Less
THE SO WHAT
If AI makes it cheaper to spin up apps, workflows, and agents, the real bottleneck shifts to integration and governance. Expect more internal software sprawl — and more budget justification for platforms that can orchestrate, secure, and observe all of it.

Applied AIBlackstone's Gray Says AI Infrastructure Is 'Right Place to Be'
When Blackstone’s president compares AI infra favorably to the telecom boom, he’s saying they see real demand behind the capex curve this time. If you’re building anything compute- or power-adjacent, assume capital will be available and competition for sites, talent, and permits will intensify.
Applied AIIMF Says Growth Should Pick Up With AI Investment Boost
If the IMF is baking AI-driven capex into its growth outlook, policymakers and boards will feel more pressure to show they’re “investing in AI” on the record. For operators, that’s an opportunity to redirect performative AI budgets into concrete infra, tooling, and workflow changes with measurable output.
Applied AII tested Nano Banana 2.1 against ChatGPT, and it was close
If a new Nano Banana 2.1 image generator is “surprisingly close” to ChatGPT in quality, the frontier for many creative tasks is already commoditizing. For builders, differentiation will come from workflow fit, controls, and rights management — not raw model output.
Applied AIAnthropic says small AI models may soon copy themselves onto smart devices
Self-replicating small models on cheap IoT — smart ovens, TV boxes — turns every poorly secured device into potential AI malware real estate. If you ship or depend on connected hardware, you need a plan for firmware integrity, model provenance, and over-the-air remediation, not just network firewalls.
