ChatGPT now lets you generate GIFs
THE SO WHAT
GIF generation on top of Images 2.6 is another step in collapsing creative micro-tasks into the assistant surface—social teams, marketers, and UGC apps will feel pressure to plug into this instead of commissioning every asset. If your product relies on user-made visuals or stickers, assume default creation will shift into chat assistants and plan integrations or differentiation accordingly.

Applied AIPartnering with Edelbyte: Data Infrastructure That Keeps Up With AI's Curiosity
If agents are going to hammer your internal systems with orders of magnitude more queries than humans ever did, the real constraint becomes data infra cost and latency, not model quality. Teams building agents should be budgeting for a new class of OLAP-style infra like Edelbyte’s, not assuming the existing warehouse can take the load.
Applied AIApple is reportedly cutting budgets for its internal AI usage
If Apple is pulling back on internal AI spend for engineering teams, the bar for provable productivity lift just went up across the industry. Expect more CFO-led scrutiny of internal AI tooling budgets—vendors selling “developer copilot” value will need hard before/after metrics, not anecdotes.
Applied AITiny's new AI workstation is anything but — packing in 16 TB SSD array and 128 GB GPU memory, but with an eye-watering price tag to boot
A $30,000 SSD-heavy tinybox that can run a 2.8T-parameter model at home is a proof point that serious AI compute is leaking out of the cloud. For teams pushing model frontier work or sensitive workloads, it’s time to quantify when owning a box like this beats renting GPUs — on both cost and control.
Applied AIYou'll need nerves of steel to work with AI agents
If working with AI agents today “requires nerves of steel,” the real constraint isn’t capability—it’s reliability and control surfaces. Before you hand agents real authority over systems or money, design for rollback, observability, and tight blast-radius limits.
