Applied AIBlock’s new voice model sounds eerily human
Running an "eerily human" voice model locally on an M4 Max means high-fidelity synthetic voice is about to be cheap, offline, and hard to trace. If you operate in payments, support, or comms, assume voice as an auth factor is compromised and tighten verification this quarter.
Applied AIForced to pick, Grok’s AI model chooses Republicans. OpenAI’s picks Democrats.
Model choice is now a de facto political alignment decision — this study’s 90%+ disagreement rate across ~500 races makes that hard to ignore. If you deploy general-purpose assistants in any civic, news, or policy-adjacent workflow, you need explicit policies, evals, and disclosures around political recommendations, not vague “neutrality” claims.
Applied AIAI Boom Faces a Growing Public Backlash
Public sentiment and media risk are now real constraints on AI deployment, even as the macro productivity story underdelivers. If your AI roadmap touches content, attribution, or labor, assume scrutiny and build comms, consent, and compensation mechanics in from the start.
Applied AIAnthropic’s AI Hid a Secret Message in the Stars. OpenAI’s Bot Found It.
Cross-model puzzle solving is a low-stakes demo of a high-stakes reality—different frontier models will be used adversarially against each other. Assume anything you hide in generated media can be probed by another lab’s system and design watermarking, red-teaming, and evals accordingly.
