Meta reportedly wants to start a cloud computing business to compete with AWS, Azure and others

If Meta really spins up a Meta Compute unit to sell excess capacity to other hyperscalers and startups, GPU supply becomes less of a moat and more of a trading asset between giants. For operators, this could mean more leverage on price and availability in 2026–2027, but also more dependency on a social platform’s infra roadmap.
