The new Microsoft Copilot app is getting the full Office experience — here's what you can look forward to from Word, Excel and more
THE SO WHAT
Microsoft is collapsing the Office surface into Copilot — the assistant is becoming the primary work hub, not an add-on. If you’re building B2B workflows, assume the entry point is a Copilot pane or app, not a standalone UI, and design integrations accordingly.

Applied AIThis AI startup says it can generate permit-ready blueprints in minutes
If Blueprints AI can reliably go from photo or sketch to code-compliant plans, the bottleneck in small construction shifts from drafting to permitting and inspections. Builders should be testing these tools now — not for speed, but for how local regulators respond to AI-originated plans.
Applied AIMicrosoft says Maia 300 racks will hold 96 chips and use ~167 kW of power and plans to roll out "multi-gigawatt deployments" of the chip starting next year
Racks pulling ~167 kW and “multi-gigawatt” Maia 300 deployments move AI from cloud spend to industrial power planning. If you’re building on hyperscaler AI, start treating power availability, thermal constraints, and chip roadmaps as first-class dependencies in your capacity planning.
Applied AIAI agents are great at writing new code — but then the human bottleneck slows everything down
Code volume is no longer scarce — trusted review is. Engineering leaders should reallocate senior time toward code review, invest in automated testing and AI-assisted verification, and stop measuring AI success by lines of code shipped.
Applied AIAI Adopters Poised to Outperform on Margins: Weaver
Morgan Stanley calling 460 bps of EBIT margin expansion for high-materiality AI adopters puts a hard number on the early advantage. Boards should be asking not “do we have AI?” but “where, specifically, will AI move 300–500 bps of margin in our P&L over the next 12–24 months?”.
