Women started asking for raises decades ago — so why is the gender pay gap even wider?

If women negotiate as often as men but still see a wider pay gap, the constraint is system design, not individual behavior. Operators should assume bias lives in promotion, calibration, and counteroffer processes—and instrument those flows with data, not training sessions, if they want to move numbers.
