Researchers Uncover Signs of Massive Surveillance Operation on Starlink Users
THE SO WHAT
If Starlink traffic is being systematically probed in countries where it’s banned or restricted, satellite broadband is now a live surveillance and counter-surveillance surface, not just a backup ISP. Any organization routing sensitive traffic over LEO constellations should treat link-layer privacy and endpoint security as first-class risks, not afterthoughts.

Tech & InnovationSource: Apple has discussed charging $2,899 for the 14-inch MacBook Pro with an OLED XDR touch screen and M5 Pro chip, $400 more than the current M5 Pro model
If Apple can clear $2,899 laptops after normalizing $2,000 foldables, premium compute budgets are drifting from “IT expense” toward “personal productivity capex.” For B2B software, that supports a world where users show up with extremely capable local hardware—optimize for on-device performance and offline-friendly workflows, not lowest-common-denominator machines.
Tech & InnovationHackers Target U.S. Federal Election Commission Website
An attack on the FEC site is a reminder that even “read-mostly” civic infrastructure is now a live target in an election cycle. Any organization running public-facing systems tied to trust—results dashboards, status pages, disclosures—should harden them and pre-plan comms for partial outages or defacements, because perception damage can exceed technical impact.
Tech & InnovationApple 14-inch, 16-inch MacBook Pro Touch Price Is Likely $2,899; Laptop Details
Apple testing $2,899 touch-screen MacBook Pros is a bet that prosumers will pay a premium for higher-fidelity creation and interaction, not just raw compute. If you build productivity or creative tools, assume a growing slice of your users will expect touch-first, pen-aware, and high-refresh workflows on macOS—not just keyboard-and-trackpad paradigms.
Apple's iPhone Duo is getting roasted over screen cracks
The iPhone Duo memes about T-shaped screen cracks show how fast social sentiment can crystallize around a perceived hardware flaw at premium price points. Hardware and device-adjacent software teams should treat durability and failure modes as part of the marketing surface—early QA misses now compound into brand narratives in days, not quarters.
