Get closer to inventors, designers, technologists, and operators who have turned their interests into careers, companies, and things people use. Join learning sessions, test selected Labs betas, and take part in quarterly Network gatherings as you develop your own capabilities.

Every E.T.A. member also gets one opportunity to put themselves forward for the Emerging Talent Fellowship, a selective pathway to consideration for paid project work.

Traditional education
18 or older, and currently in an eligible program or graduated within the last two years. Universities, community colleges, trade schools, and vocational and technical programs all count.
Nontraditional
18 to 23. For self-taught builders, independent creators, apprentices, and people on unconventional paths.

02 Emerging Talent Fellowship

The next generation doesn’t wait for permission.

The Emerging Talent Fellowship recognizes promising builders, creators, and thinkers ready to take their next step. Selected Fellows become eligible for paid opportunities across research, Labs initiatives, client projects, and supervised deployments.

How it works
  • Every E.T.A. member has one opportunity, at any point during their membership, to put themselves forward.
  • You can put yourself forward, or someone can nominate you.
  • Fellows are selected on merit.
  • Selection makes you eligible for paid work, which depends on what current projects need.

The application and membership are separate decisions. The Pro access is yours whatever the admission outcome.

  • Pro access begins when payment succeeds and does not renew automatically. Existing Pro subscribers receive a three-month extension instead.
  • If accepted, Expert membership is $1,000 per year, billed annually. First-year total: $1,099.
  • Admission is not guaranteed. Commercial work, introductions, publication, and leadership roles are not guaranteed.

08 Questions

Is Friend a step toward Expert?

No. Friend is a complete membership in its own right. There’s no upgrade path, readiness review, or preferred admission. Anyone can apply for Expert directly, under the same standards, whether or not they’re a Friend.

Do Friends get Signal + Noise Pro?

No. Friend includes Daily Signal and Weekly Signal. Expert includes one full Pro seat, and the Expert application includes three months of Pro.

What happens to my Pro access if I’m not accepted as an Expert?

You keep the three months of Pro that came with your application. It ends at the close of the three months and does not renew automatically.

I already subscribe to Pro. Will I be charged twice?

No. If you already subscribe, we extend your existing subscription by three months instead of creating a second one.

If I’m accepted during my three months, what happens to the rest?

Your annual Expert Pro seat takes over from the application entitlement. Unused application months don’t extend your membership term.

Who qualifies for E.T.A.?

Anyone 18 or older who is in an eligible education program or graduated within the last two years, or anyone aged 18 to 23 on a nontraditional path. We check eligibility at enrollment and again at renewal.

Do organizations pay annual dues?

No. Startups and studios pay a one-time review fee only if invited after a free eligibility screen. Corporate, investor, and technology partner inquiries are free.

Do I need to join the Network to hire Neue Alchemy?

No. Enterprise engagements are separate commercial relationships. You can bring us a problem without joining anything.

Does membership guarantee work, introductions, or publication?

No. Membership provides access. Opportunities depend on fit with the work at hand.
